As 2023 comes to an end, it’s an opportune time to look back and reflect on the truly momentous year it has been here at Volvo Cars Walnut Creek.
While there were many significant happenings this past year, the most meaningful to us was the arrival of our brand new Volvo dealership! The all-new Volvo Cars Walnut Creek opened its doors early in 2023 and we couldn’t be more delighted. Every inch of this new dealership has been designed and crafted with our customers in mind. From the appealing, clean architectural design to the comfortable, friendly atmosphere, the new Volvo Cars Walnut Creek offers a wonderful shopping experience. It is the best way to view our even bigger inventory of new Volvo cars and SUVs including plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid, and electric models, as well as of Certified by Volvo pre-owned vehicles and used cars.
To keep your Volvo running its best we created a state-of-the-art Volvo Service Department. It is now even easier and more convenient to get professional Volvo service performed by experienced technicians. And at Volvo Cars Walnut Creek, we stock and supply genuine OEM Volvo Parts and Accessories.
Most of all, we are proud to see so many positive comments from our customers in every department.
2023 also saw historic news from Volvo with no bigger announcement than that of the all-new, all-electric EX30 SUV in May of this year. The EX30 will be the smallest ever Volvo SUV which will feature an appropriately small price tag. The Volvo EX30 will join its big brother the EX90 as the present and future of Volvo Electric Vehicles. In November of this year, the EX30 was one of three finalists for the 2024 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year™ (NACTOY) award. At Volvo Cars Walnut Creek, we expect to take delivery of the first EX30s in Summer 2024.
Speaking of the EX90… it continued to make news and receive early accolades in the automotive world. The all-electric Volvo EX90 made its North American debut at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and wowed everyone, taking technology and safety to new heights. The EX90 was recognized as a winner of the 2023 Green GOOD Design Awards in the transportation category in April and named a finalist in Fast Company’s 2023 Innovation by Design Awards in August. At Volvo cars Walnut Creek, we are as excited as a child during the holidays, waiting for the arrival of the EX90 early in 2024.
It's rare to find new ideas in any category, but the Care by Volvo subscription is just that – a new way of driving a new Volvo car or SUV. It became available in California at the beginning of the year and offers a third alternative to the traditional purchase or lease. It lets Volvo of Walnut Creek customers drive with one monthly payment that includes usage of the vehicle, maintenance, road hazard coverage, some excess wear allowance, and other common services.
There were many more highlights in 2023:
- Despite others experiencing supply chain issues, we saw brisk sales of Volvo Plug-in Hybrids like the XC90 Recharge and XC60 Recharge, Mild Hybrid models like the EX40 and EX60, and all-electric Volvos like the C40 recharge.
- Volvo announced the end of diesel vehicles as part of their commitment to combating climate change.
- Volvo Cars signed an agreement that will allow electric Volvos access to 12,000 Tesla chargers throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
- We could go on but there are only so many hours in a day!
