Volvo Service That Will Keep You Cruising Through Summer
The Service Department at Volvo Cars Walnut Creek is staffed with expert, certified
technicians dedicated to maintaining your Volvo. If you’re currently driving a Volvo mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or a Volvo Electric Vehicle, schedule an appointment and let us perform a multi-point inspection of your vehicle before you head out on your trip or vacation. A quick list of some, but not all, of the points we address are:
- Fluids: We will check and top off all fluid levels, as well as and perform a visual inspection to ensure there are no leaks.
- Belts and Hoses: Where appropriate, we will inspect your Volvo’s belts and hoses to make sure all are in good operating condition. If needed, we can replace them with genuine Volvo parts.
- Tires: Tires are extremely important especially in EVs where improper pressure can affect driving range. Our technicians will inspect your tires for wear and damage, then they will check and adjust tire pressure.
- Cooling System: Keep your Volvo cool. Let the Volvo Cars Walnut Creek techs check your cooling system for leaks. We can also flush and replace your old coolant if necessary.
- Batteries: We will check your vehicle’s battery and charging system to make sure everything is operating properly. We will advise you if we suspect that your battery or any parts need replacing.
- Lights: Whether you drive a Volvo XC40 SUV, XC60 mild hybrid, or S90 sedan, your Volvo’s lights are important. This extends beyond just headlights. Our technicians will also check brake lights, turn signals, emergency flashers, and interior lights.
Packing List for Any Trip
At Volvo Cars Dublin we know that preparedness can avoid any bumps in the road. We recommend packing a few items in your Volvo car, SUV, or wagon before setting out on a trip, especially a longer one.
- Phones: We all remember our cell phones. But don’t forget to bring a car charger. You should also plan ahead and enter your destination into your favorite GPS app before leaving home.
- Refreshments: It’s good to keep a few bottles of water and some non-perishable snacks with you especially if you have little ones. Pain relievers (acetaminophen /ibuprofen), allergy medications, tissues, and hand wipes can also come in handy.
- Safety Equipment: Even if you never need them, it’s a good idea to have a basic first aid kit, jumper cables, and road flares in your Volvo at all times.
- Miscellaneous Items: Some additional items to consider keeping in your car (particularly for long trips) are: a flashlight, a tire pressure gauge, and physical maps in case you are out of cell range or your phone runs out of charge.
Summer Driving Tips
There’s some advice that just makes good sense regardless of the season.
- Do not leave children or pets unattended in a hot car. Even with the windows tolled down, any vehicle can become uncomfortably, or even dangerously, hot quickly.
- Never drive impaired. Even in a Volvo, one of the safest, smartest vehicles on the road, driving impaired is very dangerous. Even being over-tired can be hazardous.
- It always helps to know where you’re going. And if you own a Volvo plug-in hybrid (like the XC90 Recharge or S60 Recharge) or an Electric Vehicle (C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge), your vehicle may come equipped with in-car Google maps which makes finding charging stations easy. You can also use the Volvo Cars app.
At Volvo Cars Walnut Creek, we are committed to making your Volvo experience enjoyable.
